Qareer
An educational digital platform
Description
Qareer is a digital counseling service for professional development that provides evidence-based observational data to access high-skilled job and educational market.
User
Qareer targets 16 -18 year old high school students, who are preparing for their future professional life and are currently involved in any kind of college or career counseling.
Problem
There is a disparity between the skills needed by employers and the supply of global workforce. In 2020, the global labor supply could have 40 million fewer workers with tertiary education and 90 million to 95 million too many medium - and low-skill workers. (Dobbs, et.al, 2012). More importantly, many education and training systems are not adequately preparing students to meet those demands of skills of a globalized world.
Goal
Qareer offers a digital career counselor by collecting and interpreting real-time observational data of the individual user. The platform creates a customized experience based on the user’s stage of development. The service assists the students to train their skills through collaboration, gamification, socialization, and exposure. Qareer helps the users gain awareness of their skills in order to make well-informed decisions for their professional development future.
