Although I don’t consider myself a very religious person, the Lady of Guadalupe represents an icon for my culture and who I am. Beyond her religious symbolism, it is impressive how her image has been present in the most crucial episodes of Mexican history such as the Independence and the Revolution; unifying Mexicans.
